for a good laugh, i went to taruse's site and picked
up this kfm clone that he had released. this female version
of kung fu man seems to only be partially done, as most
of her animation only has the head swapped. The only seemingly
finished sprites are found in the standing, crouching,
and winpose animations. whatever reason it is like that,
it takes away from the visuals of this character.
the moves are standard kfm moves, with mako using modifed
versions of the kung fu palm and other signature moves.
some effects were added to try and give them a fresh look,
but that is merely eye candy.
one thing that amused me about mako was taruse's use
of animated images in the supers, namely the entertaining
animation for the move named "koga". these small
extras wrere indeed worth looking at more then once.
to sum it up, kung fu mako is worth getting for a laugh
or two, but there is nothing that really stands out enough
to make this a must have character. if you want another
kfm though, it wouldn't hurt to pick this one up.
