activate Adventuring Mode
Pilaf Gang sets out to find the Dragon Balls in order to make their wish! You gain new moves for that purpose, each detailed below. Of course, like all characters, the Pilaf Gang now gets cool cinematic Finishers tacked on to their Level 3 Super! Performing the Power Mode activation in mid-air counts it as an (first) Air Stall, meaning you can do it a total of three times in that jump.
Marker Set
Hey! We gotta get those Dragon Balls! Check out your Dragon Radar located at the bottom of the screen. Note that the Radar is roughly divided into 4 quadrants. It's the same for the screen. A Dragon Ball will be hidden away in one of these four quadrants. You can collect one at a time using your Marker Dash. To do that, you first have use Marker Set, which is this move! After pressing 2K, you can use the directional keys to move the marker around. Letting go of 2K will then set it on the screen. You can set two of them on-screen at the same time before using a Marker Dash. Quickly read the next paragraph to fully understand the concept!
Marker Dash
Once you've set at least one Marker, you can use the Marker Dash to launch yourself towards it, with the goal of grabbing a hidden Dragon Ball, and hopefully ramming into the opponent in the process. When two Markers are on-screen, pressing MK+HK makes Pilaf dash to the second target while any other combination of kicks makes him dash to the first one.
Slingshot Dragon Ball
You can fire each and every Dragon Ball you've thusfar collected. It'll bounce around the walls of the screen. Just pressing down+MP+MK fires just a single Ball, but if you hold MP+MK then he'll continue to fire the remaining ones. You can change the initial trajectory of the Dragon Ball by holding Up or Down when firing them.
Emergency Discharge
If you're fed up with your quest of making a wish, you can initiate this Power Mode Exit which scatters all the Dragon Balls you've collected up until that point. Like with the Slingshot action, the balls will bounce around against the screen's walls, hopefully doing some big damage to the opponent. Unlike his RDP+P Accidental Discharge, this variant will not damage the Pilaf Mech itself.
