Gogeta SSJ4

if you ever wondered how it would feel to be the strongest of all creatures ever seen in the whole db series, gogeta ssj4 is for you.

his sprites are edited from a ssj 2 goku and don't look -too- bad, the alignment is better than in the majority of db charaters (still bad) and the clsn boxes are acceptable most of the time. the times when they aren't they are misplaced several pixels but that doesn't affect gameplay much, if you don't get offended from a beam which upper half doesn't do any harm to anything else than your eyes.

with his moves comes a kaioken that refills your life faster than evil ken can drain it from you.

his powerful chain and cancelable normal moves are fast and deadly, even though they all sound the same and the crouching ones even all -are- the same, just a punch and one kick. on six buttons. his air basics have fucked up animation for some reason.

you can kill an opponent using the strong kick twenty times, i think.

you're the most powerful thing in the universe, remember? therefore, you must have a life energy that exceeds the magical number of 2000 and attack and defense values rivaling a dark hadou user. not even yoda achieved a maxed out power of incredible 9000 points.

being all powerful has its good sides, since you can easily stop the earth from turning, the timer from counting down or the enemy from moving with a simple two button combination of b and y which unleashes the dreadful instant -transmition- move hypershadow likes to quit irc with.

gogeta's only intro is a god-awful parody of the well known fusion move. ugly goku and even uglier vegeta in their sexiest levels execute a fusion dance that lets trunks' and goten's first try at this thing shine. however, some being allows them to form the ultimate warrior and doesn't care whether their fingers miss a kilometer or two. this higher will is represented on the screen by a gigantic white thing of energy with green and blue shining lightning bolts everywhere, accomplished by the typical db like texted intro quotes with a weird gogeta face and some crappy font saying something for a period of two or three seconds, before the white energy field blasts the darn thing back into the oblivion of overlapping sprites where you can't read anything anymore. sad.

now, if you were to play against a character, say, kfm, that has a short intro, you'll get to see the white even after the fight has begun and you start moving around. if playing against yourself, you'll get the same effect, just shorter. even more fun comes when you set gogeta ssj4 up against broli, for example. 'cause mighty gogeta is nothing against the madness that is broli, and when broli's on the height of his legendary transformation, gogeta will simply vanish out of plain fear. or, if you are an apprentice of the coding skillz, you might say his intro is over. however, you won't have much time to enjoy this fun, because once the fight does really begin, he'll jump back into existence. sad again.

special attacks, hu? of course he has those. my favourite one is where he gives opponents the deadly eye of destruction that will send them flying. >:D

others are the stylish finger beam, the useless backflip kick and the generic chi shots everybody has these days. one of those moves shots projectiles out of his hand five times, where the hand animation is totally un-synchronized with that. logically it does 450 points of damage.

we are far from done, seeing as he comes packed with two stupid auto-combos on his super saiyajin 4 back. one is a short ranged multi-punch attack of blue burning fists, the other one is a long ranging thing where the last uppercut will always hit nothing but empty air because the enemies get smashed away before that anyway.

the moment you've waited for arrives at least, where you'll get to know the true abilities of a saiyajin who enters the arena with all his powers at the ready.

teh super moves of the master~! (as far as i'm able to describe it)

1. weak kamehame-ha.
2. air final flash.
3. super kamehame-ha striker gohan~!
4. even stronger kamehame-ha!
5. the amazing red ten times kamehame-ha!
6. vegeta's weapon of choice, the powerful final flash!!
7. the fusion results of that move and the totally over-used kamehame-ha: final kamehame-ha!!!
8. when you think it can't get any better, you're wrong. very wrong. with an earth-shatterign force that could create a universe comes the famous big bang attack. ^_^
9. words cannot describe the result of the merging of this attack and... the kamehame-ha, what else? screen bursting big bang kamehame-ha!
10. it's the dragon punch. yeah.
11. teleporting next to his enemies, gogeta lets it all go. 100 hit combo consisting of random punches and kicks followed by a raging series of big bang attacks 19 in total. no one ever survives the second one anyway, so who cares?
12. what the big bang attack creates, the galaxy genki dama sends back to ashes. the ultimate unblockable, unstoppable instant death energy ball of doom.

do i have to tell you that each and every of those super beams does at least 600 damage? most do more than 800...

flying is in there, too. the usual copied stuff. on watch mode, gogeta beat anything. wolverine and evil ryu managed to stop him due to their a.i., and evil ken won with time over two times. yeah.

overall, this character is terrible. but it really gives you a taste of allmighty gogeta powers. uhh. kick, kick, boom. it takes about ten seconds to recharge the 9 power levels.

why not?

Pros and Cons
